Panic Snaps and Snap Hooks

Panic Snap for safe play

Panic Snaps

Panic snaps are a secure quick-release mechanism. They are secure until activated and then release completely, and can let go under a load (not true of QuickLinks or spring clips). Many people use them in suspension play, but we don't recommend it. Suspension should be done with a controlled release mechanism... something that allows you to lower the occupant, not dump them on their butt (or head).
Panic snaps are great for standing bondage, and virtually any non-suspension bondage situation you'd like to release quickly. These are very heavy pieces made from malleable iron, strong and well-made.

Swivel Snaps or Snap Hooks

Swivel Snaps

Swivel snaphooks are used on leashes and tethers for the most part... anywhere a quick, light attachment is desired. They are zinc diecast.

Double Shap Hook

Double End Snaps

The fastest and easiest way to attach one point to another. Piston-style snap on each end, won't open accidentally. Never use any double end snap as load-bearing in full suspension! Made of zinc diecast.

Rigid snaphooks

Rigid Snaps

Rigid snaphooks have the same purpose as swivel snaps above, however they are solid and will not rotate between the snaphook and the strap eye.
